Ogunquit 4th Fireworks as seen from The Marginal Way

Ogunquit - Maine - 4th of July

Ogunquit, Maine put on a serious fireworks show last night for their 4th of July weekend celebration.

After the remnants of Hurricane Arthur sent some rain bands through the Southern Maine coast on the evening of the 4th, the fireworks were rescheduled for Saturday the 5th – and it ended up being a perfect night for viewing the spectacular display.

The Marginal Way was packed with spectators lined up and lounging well in advance of the 9:15 start to the fireworks. And the pre-show music from DJ Jerry Bazata was audible all the way down towards the little lighthouse at Lobster Point.

It was a festive walk from the romantic Hartwell House Inn B&B on Shore Road down towards the Little Beach area where we found the perfect vantage point to sit on the rocky shoreline and watch the colorful explosions in the skies over the Norseman Resort and the Gulf of Maine.
