Over the past several weeks, as the COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted the normal flow of life in Ogunquit, Maine, many local businesses and individuals organized donations of hot meals and treats to the Police, Fire and front-line town staff.
As a way of showing how lucky and grateful they feel to work in a community that is so thoughtful, compassionate and supportive of the town employees, the Ogunquit Police Association responded by creating an initiative to support a cause that’s important to all Maine law enforcement, Special Olympics Maine.
About The Ogunquit Police Association Special Olympics Raffle
To say thanks for all of the recent kindnesses extended by local businesses, the Ogunquit Police Association (members of the PD who pay dues and have funds from non-taxpayer sources) have purchased $100 gift cards to all of the places in town who donated and offered them assistance in other ways over the last several weeks.
And now they are raffling off all of those gift cards with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Maine.
This is a real win win! Everyone who participates gets a chance to win one (or more) fabulous gift cards to local businesses in Ogunquit — and Special Olympics Maine gets access to much-needed donations as part of the process!
